We’ve recently been investigating some suspicious charges to debit card from a company called Fans Media LTD. When searching online, very little information regarding Fans Media LTD can be found. A website, fansmedia.co.uk seems linked but will not reply to any messages.
On our test bank, we’ve had 6 charges, as of now, which are the following:
09/10/2023 FANS MEDIA LTD 13.51
06/11/2023 FANS MEDIA LTD 13.43
06/12/2023 FANS MEDIA LTD 12.98
08/01/2024 FANS MEDIA LTD 12.94
06/02/2024 FANS MEDIA LTD 12.97
06/03/2024 FANS MEDIA LTD 12.94
There is a companies house registered business linked to Fans Media LTD, but we’ve yet to determine if this is the same company who are facilitating these suspicious charges.
The earlier transactions suggest the business is affiliated somewhat with the area of FINCHLEY. We are in the early stages of investigating Fans Media LTD and where these suspicious credit/debit card charges stem from. We do, however, have our suspicions. We believe that these charges may originate from fake missed shipping / subscription expired scams, such as the ones we’ve discussed in the article here.
We’ve created this article with comments open, we’d like anybody who has been experiencing these suspicious transactions and any idea of where they stem from to write a comment. It would be great to determine if these transactions do infact stem from where we believe they do or if they’re from somewhere else altogether.
